Going to Honduras

When we go to Honduras in the summer we have to fly on an airplane.  We fly out of Raleigh on a small plane, but when we fly out of Miami we are on a big plane.

When we get to Honduras we eat lunch and then we take a nap because we have been up since 2:00 a.m.  Later in the week we go play at the orphanage.  We do Bible school and play games.  We play soccer and volleyball with the kids. They have a swingset that we all like to play on. After being at the orphanage we go back to the Gomez house.

Another week in the summer we go to Santa Fe.  We have to ride on a bumpy road for four hours.  When we get to Santa Fe we eat lunch.  We also do Bible school there.  We split two hundred kids into two groups.  The little kids go first then the big kids.  It is really muddy there because it rains so much.  In Santa Fe we also do construction work by putting in new roofs and floors. 

Me and my dad like to take pictures in Honduras.  We take pictures of Santa Fe and the kids in the orphanage.  We take over four thousand pictures.

When we leave Honduras everybody cries because we will miss each other.  Honduras is the greatest place ever.

Pedro Hangs From a Tree

This is a story I wrote for school this week.  I hope it makes you laugh.

One day a boy named Pedro was walking down the street.  His mom said, "Come in Pedro."  "Hold on," Pedro said.

Pedro sees a big bully dressed in black out of the corner of his eye.  Pedro tries to kick him.  Pedro yells, "go away"!  He tries to run from the bully.  Then the bully runs after him.  When he catches Pedro, he gives him a weggie and hangs him on a tree.

Pedro's mom got worried because he had not come home.  She called 911.  She talked to the police.  She said, "my kid is gone."  "We will go find him for you" the policeman said.  When they found him he had a weggie and was hooked on a tree. 

The police called the fire men to come in their big red truck to save him.  Pedro was happy that the firemen came to get him out of the tree.  While the firemen were helping Pedro the police went looking for the bully.  They found him in the bathroom in the school down the street.  The bully had to say, "I'm sorry Pedro."

What Christmas Is All About

Christmas is a fun holiday.  Some people think Christmas is all about hanging stockings and putting up Christmas trees.  Some kids think Christmas is all about getting presents from Santa.  But the real meaning of Christmas is Jesus birthday. 

I still like getting presents for Christmas!

A story I wrote for a contest

This is a story I wrote for a writing contest.  The topic was "Who Would You Help?"

Someone to Help

There are a lot of people in the world that someone could help. I would help this little boy in Honduras. His name is Marlon and he lives in an orphanage and he is deaf.
Last year we went to visit him for a week. I could play with him but not talk with him.
None of the kids at the orphanage or his workers can talk to him. He is all alone during the day and he has no one to play with.

In September my family adopted a little baby from Guatemala .When my mom and dad got back we found out that she was deaf. It’s hard to talk to her because she
can’t hear anything I say to her. I want to help Marlon because I know how he feels
because know one can talk to him. I know he is lonely and I want him to be able to hear the other kids at the orphanage.

When we go back to Honduras this summer I want to teach him sign language. I
would like to bring him to the USA because there is no help for him in Honduras. I think the doctors here in the USA can help him because they are going to help my baby sister be able to hear one day with a Cochlear Implant.

There are a lot of people in the world that need help, but the one person that I would help would be Marlon. I am glad that I get to be a missionary in Honduras so I can spend time with Marlon, and one day maybe get him help so that he can hear.

Honduras Story #1

We got in Honduras on Monday.  Yesterday we went to an orphanage.  We played with the kids.  We chased the kids too.  We passed the ball. Then we left.  Today we went to order some t-shirts.  I like this church beside the t-shirt place.

Daniel and I wanted you to know that he's going to be writing his stories again in Honduras.  He is in VBS this week and has not had time to write.  So keep checking for more stories.  Maybe instead of frogs, it will be tarantulas!

My Little Sister

We are adopting a little sister from Guatemala.  She is five months old.  Her name is Mariah Faith Milagros Moore.  She likes laughing alot.  You can see that in her picture.  Mom took lots of pictures of her.  I'm excited about her coming to our home.

A story about camping

When we went camping we went to Dollywood.  We rode some rides and I rode mystery mine two times.  Then we went to our camper and we had a campfire.  Then my mom threw a napkin in the fire and it blew away.  My mom stepped on it and her toe caught on fire.  It was like America's Funniest Home Videos.  It wasn't really funny that she got burned.  It was funny watching her jump around.

Frogs are green.  Sometimes they blend in with colors around them.  A frog has four legs.  Frogs like to eat flies.  They also like to eat bugs.  They live in a pond.  They could live in the woods too.  Their enemies are snakes.  The snakes could eat them.
